Nothing wrong with tracing, I trace myself sometimes, most artists trace actually, there are even tracing tools for artists that they sell at paint stores just for the purpose.
You don't have to know how to draw to be able to paint.
PS - LOVE how you captured the swell of them boobies over the shirt line.......
